Nature Prosecutes

Short-sighted greed saw humankind overstep and unsettle complex systems.

For a time, incursions were absorbed – the land, the water and the forest hid many injuries.

The abuse amassed until it couldn’t be held. As thoughtless actions come back to haunt, the violent power of elements beyond our control swallows and destroys.

This is the cause and effect of decades of abuse.

Extractive economies hollowed out the earth and took from the sea, looted lush landscapes and devastated mangroves, the map was redrawn as environments were eclipsed in oil and dust.

Though nature prosecutes, the precarious zones of natural disaster, dwindling resources and increasingly unpredictable circumstances are the direct results of human action.
